Medi+Vend™ is an interactive telehealth service designed by clinicians for commissioners, providers and clients to provide easy access to sexual health information. It is a touch screen vending kiosk which can dispense a range of products from Condoms, Chlamydia and Pregnancy Test Kits. The Medi+Vend™ kiosk can also be used to give out a wealth of health promotion messages and signpost to a range of local services.
- Medivend is an interactive sexual health kiosk which provides health information about sexual health, STIs and related public health issues.
- The touch screen kiosk dispenses a range of sexual health products such as Condoms, Chlamydia and Pregnancy Test Kits to targeted and pre-authorised user groups and communities, provided free at the point of delivery using C-Card methodology, Student IDs, RFID or Biometrics finger scanning technology.
- Medi+Data™ application collects and gathers anonymous data to collect, collate and return data to the customer on a managed basis tracking post code, gender, age, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
- Provides high quality usage information to managers allowing for improved needs analysis, provision of real time performance and planning data.
- As a health kiosk, Medivend enables user surveys to be carried out on-line and in real-time to assist delivery objectives and target achievement.
- Self Triage allows young people to assess their own sexual health and decide if they should see a clinician and what possible actions they need to take.
- Medivend can be a standalone kiosk within a college or a youth centre, or alternatively link to a self-check kiosk as an automatic clinic check in kiosk.
Data management software of Medi+Vend™ assists in reporting on performance indicators and key target areas set out in the national sexual health strategy in a way that reduces direct costs and improves performance.
